These artists dominated the charts in the ‘80s racking up a staggering 23 hits in the NZ Top 20 chart. 

Headlining the Sounds Series is legendary UK acts OMD (with hits like If You Leave, Enola Gay, Electricity, Joan Of Arc (Maid Of Orleans) - and Thompson Twins’ Tom Bailey (Hold Me Now, Doctor Doctor, King For A Day) and Upper Hutt boy turned Australian superstar Jon Stevens, bringing all the Noiseworks and INXS hits to Brewtown. 

Diesel, The Narcs & Kim Willoughby bring more downunder talent to the lineup for what promises to be the best Hutt Sounds so far!

EVENT INFORMATION

Here are some helpful tips to help make your day a good one.

Key Information

  • Gates open at 2pm. Show ends at 9:30pm.

  • Have your ticket ready to be scanned at the gate (either on your phone, or a print-out).

  • If you bring a bag, it must be no larger than an A4 piece of paper. Limit of one bag per person.

  • Blankets and foldable camping chairs are welcome.

  • A standing area will be in the front (nearest the stage), followed by zones for low backed chairs and picnic blankets, then a zone for high-backed chairs.

  • There are no pass-outs. If you leave the event, you won’t be able to come back in.

  • Dress for the weather, the concert will continue rain or shine.

  • This is an R18 event. ID checks will be carried out the event entrance. No ID - No Service - No Exceptions

  • Don’t be a dick! Anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in immediate removal from the venue.

Prohibited Items

  • Food, drink, and alcohol, in any type of container.

  • Glass of any kind.

  • Illegal substances.

  • Picnic tables, umbrellas, or other large furniture or items.

  • Gang patches or colours.

  • Weapons of any kind (including mace).

  • Funnels, water back packs, or other drinking paraphernalia (except empty water bottles).  

  • Animals (except certified disability assist dogs).

  • Large, professional-type cameras and other video or audio recording equipment.

  • Signage and promotional products.

Beverages & Food

  • No BYO Food or Drink

  • Empty water bottles are allowed. There is plenty of free drinking water available in the venue.

  • This is a cashless event. Payments must be via EFTPOS/Credit Card for drinks, food, and merchandise.

  • Our beverage selection includes beers from Brewtown’s breweries, wines from Matahiwi Estate, a range of spirit RTDs, low alcoholic beer, and a selection of non-alcoholic beers, cocktails and sodas.

  • Food items include smoked meats, burgers, hot chips, hangi, rotis, Indian street food, and more from a range of local food trucks. Gluten free, dairy free, and vegan options are available.

  • It is a requirement by law to refuse entry to anyone who is intoxicated.

  • Alcohol will not be served to anyone who is intoxicated.

Transport

  • Plan ahead, take public transport if possible, and don’t drink and drive.

  • If you are using the train, get off at Upper Hutt Station and walk for 7 minutes to Brewtown’s entrance on Blenheim Street.  Check out the train timetable here.

  • A drop off zone (including taxis and uber) will be at the main Brewtown Entry on Blenheim Street.

  • For sober drivers, there will be parking available via Railway Ave, as well as plenty of parking on the surrounding streets.

  • Accessible parking is available via the Brewtown main gate on Blenheim Street for permit holders only.

Remember to be considerate. Everyone’s here to have a great time so let’s do it together. Enjoy a drink but don’t overdo it. And always look after your mates!
